Do you know where this United Way ducky is?Lightning never strikes twice, and no one could have predicted that for the second year in a row, grave trouble would befall the United Way of Cape May County as they prepare for the annual Rubber Ducky Regatta. Against the odds, five duckies have again flown the coop.

Superfresh donates reusable bags to United Way pantry

Danielle Hinds, Ray Peters, and Sue StringSuperfresh, in Cape May Court House, is helping out its neighbors, while helping out in the environment. The store donated a generous supply of reusable shopping bags to the United Way of Cape May County’s First Call for Help food pantry.

Jerzey Boyz hold pig roast

A group of local motorcycle enthusiasts are roaring into summer with a smokin’ barbecue to celebrate the creation of their new motorcycle group, the Jerzey Boyz. The group is holding the family-friendly, pig roast by “JD’s Barbecue” at the Moose Lodge, 569 Seashore Road, Erma, from 3-9 p.m. on Saturday, July 12.

Super Shopper honored by United Way

United Way volunteer, Nancy Runzer; Super shopper, Ray Seible with his Starfish award; and United Way Executive Director, Suzanne NardiFor some people, shopping is a drudgery, but not for Ray Seible, of North Wildwood. Every week, Seible checks grocery store sale ads, clips coupons and organizes his plan of attack with the all the precision and skill of a military operation.

His mission—to get as many groceries as possible with as little money as he can spend, and when the job the done, he donates most of his booty of groceries to charity.
